Ditty Grid adds a customizable and responsive grid option to display your items. Ditty Images lets you add internal and external images to your site. The Ditty RSS extension provides the ability to include RSS feeds, Ditty XML adds XML data feeds, and Ditty Timing uses dates and weekly or daily settings to schedule your items.
T4B News Ticker
T4B News Ticker creates a horizontal news ticker for your site. There are four different animations you can use: fade, slider, ticker, and scroll. Your ticker can be shown based on post categories or tags. The content can be ordered any way you want. Admins can even write custom text in the default post editor to add additional text. Settings allow you to control the scrolling speed of your ticker, the timing between fades, and change up its typography as well. These tickers may be inserted anywhere within your posts and pages through a shortcode. They can even be added by putting them within your theme files directly.

This product was first published by its developer in December of 2014. It is presently on version 1.2.9 and last experienced an update on March 15th, 2024. It has had over 73,360 downloads. There have not been many assistance requests from end-users. Reviews for T4B News Ticker – Responsive News Scroller, Slider, and Animations are very positive. T4B News Ticker Premium is the paid version of the plugin that comes with more effects and ways to customize your website’s news ticker. Your ticker can be created instantly by using any of the 12 ready-made designs for you to choose from. Live News Lite
Live News Lite is a simple WordPress plugin that creates a news ticker for your site which you can use in multiple ways. Common use cases include showing the latest and relevant news, weather warnings, sports and election results, and more.
By default, you will see a featured news section in red and a sliding news area in black. This is the same format seen in well-known networks such as Fox News, CNN, and Sky News. There have not been many support requests from users. Live News does not have any reviews. It’s not easy to tell what the WordPress community thinks about it yet.
Live News Pro is the paid and premium version of this WordPress news ticker plugin. Pro opens up a wide array of customization options and makes it easier for you to add content. In Pro, your news can be automatically generated based on your site posts, a chosen RSS feed, or even through tweets from a specific Twitter account.
Pro comes with 46 options for tickers, 4 options for featured news, 9 options for sliding news, and 4 general layout options. All elements are individually customizable with colors, fonts, and images. You can even control the speed or delay in which your ticker moves. Additionally, you can add links to the news, show the time with a built-in clock, and adjust margins and padding.
Post Ticker Ultimate
Post Ticker Ultimate is a plugin that inserts and displays a WordPress news ticker either horizontally or vertically within your site. The slider works with your WordPress posts and custom post types as long as you use a shortcode.
You can change the color of your ticker title and its background color plus the timing of your slider and its animations. It is conveniently 100% translatable for whatever language your website might use. This plugin even supports Gutenberg blocks. The included shortcode gives you different parameters to adjust including category, title, effect, font style, border, link, autoplay, link, and more.

It comes with two styles for your tickers and two shortcodes to either have posts or an RSS feed providing the content. You can exclude and include categories as you wish and set the order of content through a parameter. Tickers are fully responsive so they can be used on any device. You may add your own custom CSS to further tweak the design. Finally, Pro also has support for other plugins like WP Templating Features, WPBakery Page Builder, Elementor, Beaver, SiteOrigin, and Divi Page Builder.
Simple Posts Ticker
Simple Posts Ticker is the final WordPress news ticker plugin we will be featuring. It adds a scrolling horizontal news ticker to your site without the hassle or any extra load that other plugins might require.
It may be added either via shortcode or PHP code. All settings can conveniently be adjusted and customized straight from the admin dashboard. The plugin comes with features that include a CSS ticker animation, and ways to select posts by their date, randomly, or by category. You have the option to show a label before the ticker as well as customize anything.
This plugin comes with support for multi-post, full RTL, custom post types, and localization. The plugin is compatible with any WordPress theme, but take note you must be using WordPress Version 4.6 or higher. So this isn’t a great option for legacy sites in desperate need of a WordPress upgrade.
